ALBASO chose to name this collection as a nod to this custom. The burgundy red of this naturally dyed leather is reminiscent of coffee berries that turn red when ripe.

Hosaena means Palm Sunday in Amharic, the official language of Ethiopia. This celebration is a tradition in the Ethiopian Orthodox religion. During this day, it is very common to see Ethiopians wearing rings or decorations on their foreheads made from palm leaves. We represent this tradition with the green color of this naturally dyed leather.
